"Quick Frozen Fruit and Quick Frozen Vegetable Production Management Specification" National Standard Released

The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and the National Standards Committee approved and issued the national standard "Regulations for the Production and Management of Quick-frozen Fruits and Quick-frozen Vegetables", which put forward specific requirements for the processing of fruit and vegetable quick-frozen products in terms of processing raw materials, equipment and facilities, hygiene, production process and quality control. The "Standard" will be implemented on March 11, 2015.

The "Standard" will be implemented on March 11, 2015.
In terms of raw material requirements, the Standard clearly states that the raw materials of fruits and vegetables for quick-freezing processing should be fresh and undamaged; in terms of equipment and facilities requirements, quick-freezing processing enterprises are required to have mechanized (or semi-mechanized) processing conditions; in terms of hygiene requirements, in addition to specifying the common requirements for food hygiene, it also specifically stipulates the hygiene requirements that should be paid attention to in food quick-freezing processing: the equipped toilet, hand washing and disinfection facilities, and the hygiene management of production operations shall meet the requirements specified in Appendix D of GB/T25007 HACCP Application Guidelines for Quick-frozen Food Production. The selected detergent and disinfectant shall meet the requirements specified in GB14930.1 and GB14930.2 of the National Food Safety Standard respectively. In terms of production process control and Zhilian management, according to the characteristics of different kinds of fruits and vegetables, the temperature and time required for quick freezing of different kinds of products should be clearly put forward, and the inspection, temporary storage, transportation and sales of products should be strictly required.
The implementation of this standard will effectively promote the improvement of the technical level of quick-frozen fruit and vegetable processing, and also help to improve the utilization rate of fruits and vegetables, meet the needs of consumers in many aspects, and is of great significance to stabilize and improve the income of farmers.
